As part of PALL & Little League's child protection programs all Board Members, Managers, Coaches, and other volunteers that interact with players in any capacity are required to complete the courses below along with having a valid background check on file. 

Background Checks:

After completing the volunteer registration process on palittleleague.org. The volunteer applicant will receive an email invitation via JDP to securely complete an online background check. Alternatively, the volunteer applicant may complete and return a paper Volunteer Application.

Trainings:

• Mandated Reporter & First Aid Training

  • A free USA Baseball account is required to access this FREE training.  

  • Choose “LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL” as the affiliation in the registration process.

  • Once your account is created, find the courses “ABUSE AWARENESS FOR ADULTS” and “BASIC FIRST AID” under the “Education” tab > Courses

  • Your certificates will be emailed to you

• Virginia Mandated Reporting Training

• Online Concussion Training

• Diamond Leader Training

Once the volunteer applicant has passed the background check and returned the training certificates to [email protected] they will be issued a badge that shows they are authorized to interact with PALL players for the playing season the badge was issued. PALL volunteers are required to wear their badge to every team practice, game and any other activities where PALL players are present. 

Certificates and background checks are valid for 12 months from each completion date. Non-Board member badges expire after every season, Board member badges are valid for one year expiring after each fall season.
